AI usage and limits
This guide explains when AI usage is counted, where to check it, what happens near or at a limit, and how to resume.
When a run counts
One use is recorded immediately before an AI model call begins. This includes task-candidate extraction from Slack conversations, bulk extraction, AI sorting of similar candidates, and reminder status suggestions. Creating a normal reminder does not count by itself. Retries of the same operation are not double-counted, but a new user action may count separately. Failed calls are not automatically refunded.
Plan limits
Usage is counted per workspace.
| Plan | Monthly AI limit |
|---|---|
| Starter | 500 runs |
| Enterprise | Per contract |
Check current usage in Account settings > Plan and billing.
Near a limit
Where usage limits are enabled, a warning appears at 80% of the limit. Slack-triggered processing also sends one notification per thread and billing period.
At the limit
New AI processing does not start after the limit is reached. Candidate extraction, bulk extraction, similar-candidate sorting, and reminder status suggestions pause. The workspace is not suspended: you can still view conversations and manage tasks manually. Screen-triggered operations show an on-screen error; Slack-triggered operations notify the first affected thread and skip subsequent work.
Limit enforcement is being rolled out gradually. During periods when enforcement is disabled, usage is still recorded and displayed but AI processing is not stopped.
Resume processing
- Wait for the next billing period: usage resets when the new period begins.
- Upgrade: the new limit applies immediately; previous usage carries over.
- Restart the contract: processing resumes after payment and a new billing period begins.
Enterprise limits and billing periods follow the individual contract.
