Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 5, 2026
Litela, Inc. (“Litela”) describes below how it handles information in Katasu (the “Service”), which organizes task candidates from Slack conversations.
1. Scope and contact
This Policy applies to information Litela collects and uses in connection with the Service. The data controller is Litela, Inc. Contact: support@katasu.app.
2. Information we collect
We collect Google account details (name, email, image, and identifier); Slack workspace, channel, member, installation, scope, and token information; Slack event metadata such as channel, timestamp, thread, author, edit, deletion, and reaction information; Katasu task candidates, owners, deadlines, status, and summaries; approval, reminder, notification, settings, and aggregate usage information; and cookies, sessions, logs, and security information.
3. How we collect it
Information comes from sign-in, Slack connection, settings, approvals, replies, authorized Slack APIs and events, service cookies and logs, and information you provide in support requests.
4. Slack message content
Katasu does not store Slack message bodies in its database. When content is needed to create a task candidate, display a thread, or decide a reminder, Katasu retrieves it from Slack and processes it. We retain generated results and thread references, not a permanent copy of the message body.
5. Purposes
We use information to authenticate users, manage workspace connections, create and manage task candidates, operate Slack actions and reminders, show boards and details, answer support requests, prevent abuse, maintain security, and improve the Service. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing.
6. Sharing and subprocessors
Information may be sent to Slack for workspace operations, Google for sign-in, AI model and routing providers for task extraction, and infrastructure providers for hosting, databases, workflows, logs, and maintenance. Current subprocessors include Google Cloud Platform, Inngest Cloud, OpenRouter, Anthropic, Google OAuth, and Slack. AI processing may include the thread information necessary to provide the requested feature; we limit it to that purpose.
7. International processing and security
Providers may process information outside Japan. Litela uses access controls, encrypted token storage, signature verification, logging, and deletion controls, while no internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed perfectly secure.
8. Cookies
Katasu uses a signed session cookie, normally for 30 days, to keep users signed in. We do not currently use advertising cookies.
9. Retention and deletion
We retain information as needed to provide the Service. After a paid contract ends, workspace processing stops and existing members can generally view stored data for 90 days. Uninstalling the Slack App disconnects Slack but does not cancel the contract or delete workspace data. To request deletion, contact support@katasu.app. Security, legal, and incident-investigation logs may be retained for a necessary period.
10. Your rights and changes
You or a workspace administrator may ask to review, correct, delete, restrict, or disconnect information. Uninstall Katasu from Slack to disconnect the workspace; cancel paid plans from the plan and billing screen. Litela may update this Policy when the Service, providers, or law changes and will notify users of material changes.
11. Contact
Questions about this Policy or information handling may be sent to support@katasu.app.
