Terms of Service

Last updated: August 5, 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern use of Katasu (the “Service”), provided by Litela, Inc. By using the Service, you and the organization you represent agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Katasu connects to Slack and provides task candidates, statuses, and reminders based on Slack conversations, reactions, channels, and member information. Slack conversations remain the source of truth. Katasu stores thread references, statuses, settings, and AI-generated results; handling of message content is described in the Privacy Policy.

2. Accounts and integrations

You sign in with Google and connect a Slack workspace. Keep those accounts secure. Workspace installation, permissions, and removal must be performed by an administrator or another authorized person. Removing the Slack App disconnects Slack but does not cancel a Katasu contract or delete stored data.

3. Your responsibilities

You must comply with applicable law, organizational rules, and these Terms; access only workspaces and data you are authorized to access; and avoid disrupting, abusing, reverse-engineering, overloading, or attempting to compromise the Service.

4. Actions in Slack

Within permissions granted by you or your workspace, Katasu may read messages, manage reactions, post messages, send reminders, and read user information. Actions taken in Katasu may be visible to other workspace members.

5. AI extraction

Katasu uses AI to create task candidates from Slack threads. AI output is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, lawful, or fit for a particular purpose. Review and correct, approve, or reject AI output as appropriate.

6. Data and intellectual property

Litela handles information as described in the Privacy Policy. Service software, designs, logos, and documentation belong to Litela or their rightful owners. You retain rights in information you submit, while granting Litela the limited rights needed to provide, maintain, improve, and secure the Service.

7. External services

The Service depends on Slack, Google, AI providers, hosting, database, and workflow providers. Changes, outages, limits, or suspension of an external service may affect availability.

8. Suspension, cancellation, and retention

Litela may suspend or end access for violations, security needs, external-provider requests, or operational reasons. Paid-plan cancellation takes effect at the next renewal. After contract end, existing members can generally view stored data for 90 days; contact support to request deletion.

9. Changes and availability

Litela may change the Service or these Terms and will give notice of material changes. Maintenance, incidents, security work, and external-service issues may temporarily interrupt the Service.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided as-is without guarantees of accuracy, continuity, usefulness, fitness, non-infringement, or error-free operation. Except for willful misconduct or gross negligence, Litela is not liable for damages arising from use or inability to use the Service; any liability is limited to ordinary, direct damages and excludes lost profits and indirect, special, or consequential damages.

11. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by Japanese law. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive first-instance jurisdiction. Questions may be sent to support@katasu.app.
